Rad Regional Parks

The diversity in our park system makes it possible to spend the morning at the coast, the afternoon in the valley and the evening in the mountains or desert. Every one of our properties has a story to tell, and an extensive list of features.

Did you know? Of the 150+ properties we manage, 23 are considered regional parks based on their size, facilities, services and regional draw. They are located throughout the County, through diverse vegetation, geography and climates, and bearing colorful histories that have helped to define and represent the areas where they reside.

It’s time we celebrate these parks through a new educational and experiential series that we find exceptionally cool: Rad Regional Parks.

Rad defined: adjective; slang; social term meaning radical, cool, excellent and/or wonderful

Our Rad Regional Parks series shines a light on our regional park properties. We’re featuring one park per month, highlighting all of the "rad" events, activities and recreational opportunities that can and do take place on site.

Join us on a tour of the County! During each park’s feature month, parking fees are waived, new events and activities have been added, translation services are available, visitors can request a free custom park logo sticker, and anyone who takes a brief survey and opts in to our monthly e-newsletter will be entered into a special drawing for a free all-parks parking pass or similar prize.

*THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED IN 2023*
