Passes and discounts are available for visitors who are County Residents, Seniors, individuals with disabilities and military veterans. The following discount cards/passes are available at any of our camping parks, or by calling (858) 565-3600 (local) or (877) 565-3600 (toll-free) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
NOTE: Discount cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.
esidents of San Diego County who have a valid DMV Disabled Placard, Disabled license plate or Disabled Veteran license plate, are eligible for a Disabled Discount Card. These cards cost $20 and entitle the holder to the following benefits:
The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation is honoring the State of California’s Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). Information on obtaining a pass through the State of California can be found on the California State Parks website. With this pass, qualified disabled war veterans, former prisoners of war or recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor are eligible to receive the DVP discount. can enjoy the benefits of park facilities at little or no cost. Holders of this pass receive the following benefits:
Qualified participants wishing to camp should call (877) 565-3600, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Same-day reservations can be made at any campground with ranger approval and proof of DVP, but future reservations should be made by phone.
Things to remember when using your DVP:
Group organizers may reserve a minimum of 10 campsites up to one year in advance of their stay. Call the Reservation Center at (877) 565-3600 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to make group reservations. This will enable us to waive reservation fees for each site.
By phone, a reservation fee of $8 will be charged for reserving 10 to 20 sites. There will be an additional reservation charge of $1 per site after the initial 20 reservations are made. Pavilion and/or kitchen facilities for one full day during the reservation period are included in the reservation at no additional charge.
NOTE: At Dos Picos, the pavilion may be reserved at no additional charge in 4-hour blocks. Additional fees will be collected at the park by the ranger if a longer period is required. One extra vehicle fee and pet fees are waived.
Sites may be cancelled prior to the reservation date, but the group must remain at a minimum of 10 sites to qualify for this special program. Only 1 transfer or reschedule maybe made per group reservation.
Seniors who are 62 or older and residents of San Diego County are eligible for a Senior Camping Discount Card. These annual discount cards cost $20 and offer the following benefits:
Please Note: Discount cards apply to only one camping unit or one site per night, and are non-transferable. Camping discounts do not apply to cabins, yurts, caravan areas, or group sites.
County of San Diego Parks and Recreation parking passes can only be used at County Park facilities that charge for day-use parking. Parking passes do not cover the cost to park extra vehicles at a camp site.
$5 for San Diego County residents (purchase online) and covers day use parking fees on the day the pass is purchased. Learn more about purchasing and managing online parking passes.
$50 for San Diego County residents (purchase online) and covers day use parking fees at all County of San Diego facilities that charge for day-use parking.

FREE for San Diego County residents (a current California Disabled placard will be honored in lieu of a pass at all County of San Diego day-use parks) and covers day use parking fees at all County of San Diego facilities that charge for day-use parking.
FREE for San Diego County senior residents age 62 or older and covers day use parking fees at all County of San Diego facilities that charge for day-use parking. Physical passes can be obtained at the parks listed below (except at Mt. Woodson and Vallecito) or at Parks and Recreation Headquarters in Kearny Mesa. Participants must provide proof of age and address using a photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. All Parking Passes can only be used at the following County of San Diego Park and Recreation Facilities:
County of San Diego parking passes ARE NOT VALID at any other local, state, or federal park within San Diego County. They ARE NOT VALID at state beaches, city parks, or amusement parks.
