Los Peñasquitos Canyon is home to an historic ranch house that broke ground in 1823 by the recipient of the first Mexican land grant in San Diego County and is documented as the second oldest residence in the County. Whether your celebration is formal or informal, the ranch house and surrounding area restores the charm of old San Diego in a picturesque open space setting.
The park features more than 10 miles of non-motorized multi-use trails, a staging area, community garden, restrooms, and is a popular venue for weddings and special events.
Learn more about weddings at Rancho Penasquitos and others by visiting our Weddings page. We also encourage you to call the park directly at (858) 484-7504.

Established in 2012, Los Peñasquitos Gardens are comprised of 20 6' x 16' garden boxes, providing ‘green thumb’ lessees with the space and amenities they need to grow their own produce. The cost is $120 per year. Gardeners are required to visit weekly and garden every season. Call 858-484-7504 for information, and to be added to the wait list. Please be prepared to share your first and last name, your phone number, your email address and a general overview of your gardening experience. You can also send a message to a park ranger.
