In honor of National Parks and Recreation Month, we’re excited to launch our first-ever Tour Our Trails Challenge. Comprised of 15 hikes, this progressive hiking challenge starts with five easy hikes, followed by five moderate hikes and five that are considered tough.
Participants will adventure to some of our most popular and picturesque parks – from the creek bed of Los Penasquitos County Preserve, to the hard-earned summit of El Cajon Mountain. Trails meander through valleys, mountains, deserts – even the coast – and most can be enjoyed by foot, bike and horse traffic.
Prizes will be awarded in every category, to include commemorative stickers, reusable water bottles, canvas bags and a fabric-stitched patch!
NOTE: Patches will be available late September; details to come.
The Tour Our Trails Challenge booklets are available to pick up at
all County park ranger stations. Click here to find a park near you! There
is no cost to participate and no end date.
