With wildlife encounters, guided adventures and spooky good times, October is the perfect month to explore County Parks! Lace up your hiking boots, gather your friends and family, and join us for Hawks, Hikes and Haunts all month long!
Throughout the month, guests can meet hawks, owls and falcons up close, learn about their adaptations, and enjoy special wildlife activities designed for all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or simply curious, these live‑raptor events offer rare opportunities to connect with nature’s top predators.
Presented in partnership with Live Well San Diego and Nature Unplugged, join rangers each Saturday for guided hikes across some of the region’s most scenic trails. From Annie’s Canyon to Santa Margarita County Preserve, these hikes are free, family‑friendly, and perfect for discovering new places, and enjoying time outdoors.
