County Parks is breaking ground this month on a new restroom facility at Cactus County Park, the latest step in an ongoing series of improvements at the park.
The project will replace the park's existing restroom near the park entrance with a new prefabricated, 2 stall ADA-accessible facility, and includes upgrades to the surrounding ADA parking and walkways to improve access throughout the site. Funding for the project comes in part from a San Diego River Conservancy grant.
The restroom will be out of service for the duration of construction. The new facility is expected to open by the end of the year. In the meantime, the restrooms near the fields will remain open and available to visitors.
This restroom project follows a string of recent improvements at Cactus County Park, including a full playground replacement, new sports field lighting, and renovations to the softball field dugouts and fencing. Together, these upgrades reflect the County's continued investment in park facilities for the community.
