About the Park

Waterfront Park is a popular place for both locals and visitors. It is the most important waterfront open space in downtown San Diego. The park's center includes a landmark County building, with an interactive splash fountain that stretches from the building into the park, creating a large green lawn area. Be sure to check out the fountain safety tips. The park also has a fun play area, small garden rooms, benches, restrooms, and several picnic areas.

The Park can accommodate special events of many sizes, including concerts, festivals, farmer's markets, birthdays, weddings and anniversaries. It’s also the park that hosts the County's first Summer Movie in the Park each year. Want to hold an event at Waterfront Park?  Complete this form and email it to park staff
