Wrap your holiday up in eco-friendly fun when the jolliest of hikers heads to San Dieguito County Park on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.! Santa in Nature is a spirited soiree that reminds us we can be whimsical as well as zero-waste. Snow in Spring Valley? By golly! Glistening on the green space at Spring Valley County Park will be sparkling snowflakes on Friday, Dec. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. Dash down to WinterFest to try your hand at sledding, cookie decorating, crafting, games or perfecting that selfie with Santa. > Facebook event

On Saturday, Dec. 16, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Holidays at the Lake is happening at Otay Lakes County Park where morning visitors can enjoy a light breakfast, games, a resource corner dedicated to grandparents raising grandchildren, arts & crafts, and delightful conversations with a magical man in a splendid red suit. > Facebook Event
