Natural beauty, abundant amenities and a variety of sports facilities make Collier County Park in Ramona a great destination for a day of family fun. On this 8-acre community park, you’ll find a naturally shaded picnic area with multiple tables and barbecues. Rich with grass, trees and shrubs, the park’s highly walkable grounds include a California native plant garden, two shaded playgrounds, a tennis/pickleball court and a basketball court. Collier County Park is also home to a Boys and Girls Club, which includes an indoor-style soccer arena.
NOTE: Alcoholic drinks are not allowed at Collier County Park.
The new Collier County Park Community Garden opened on June 18, 2025. It includes a total of 8 (3’x4’) planter beds, 22 (4’x6’) planter beds, and 2 ADA Accessible planter beds for a grand total of 32 new garden beds that can be rented on an annual basis with the County of San Diego.
The new community garden will include removable screens, water at all garden bed locations, a compost bin for communal use, a lockable storage shed for tools and equipment, and a breathtaking view of the park.
The garden is located on the Southwest corner of Collier County Park with ADA accessible access from the heart of the park.
This project has been completed thanks to funding that was acquired as part of the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) grant.
